Discovery Flight — take the controls with a CFI

A Discovery Flight (introductory lesson) is a short, CFI‑guided experience designed to let you feel what flying is like. You’ll sit in the pilot’s seat, handle the controls, and learn the basics — all under close instructor supervision.

Meet your CFI, review safety, controls, and the plan. We’ll brief the CAPS parachute and how we use checklists.

In the Air

You fly (with guidance)

Take off together, then try straight‑and‑level, gentle turns, and climbs/descents. Your CFI handles radios and airspace.

After

Debrief & next steps

We’ll debrief and answer training questions. If you plan to continue, we’ll show you how this time can count as training received.

How long is it?
