Discovery Flight FAQ
What is a Discovery Flight?
A hands‑on introductory flight with a Certified Flight Instructor where you can take the controls under supervision and experience real aviation procedures.
Is it safe to fly in a Cirrus SR20?
Yes. The SR20 features modern avionics and the CAPS whole‑airframe parachute system. Your instructor manages weather, airspace, and limits at all times.
Do I need any prior experience?
No experience required. We brief you on the route, safety, and basic controls so you can enjoy flying with confidence.
Can I talk to Air Traffic Control?
If you’d like, you may make a simple, instructor‑prompted radio call. Many guests find this to be a highlight of the experience.
Can this count toward a pilot license?
Yes. Discovery flights can be logged toward pilot training if you choose to pursue your Private Pilot License later.
